Stoneridge Wrap is a modern panorama that takes advantage of intarsia to paint a landscape with the yarn colors of your choice. Corresponding increases and decreases allow the knitter to form land, foliage, and a majestic sky. Knit in one-color brioche and finished with I-cord edging and fringe, this wrap will be a warm and inviting hug to the wearer.</image:caption>

The distinct sections allow you to explore different textures; beginning with nupps on a stockinette background, then moving to a wider section of fluttery shadow cables. The highlight of the shawl is a deep panel of juicy cables with a dash of garter lace for a final flourish. While some attention is needed to work the action rows, there are plenty of relief rows to please any intermediate knitter.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Rivulet is inspired by the beauty of geometry. What’s not to love about the order, precision and symmetry of geometric shapes? Strategically-placed cable stitches form converging lines that meet to create this modern, wearable knit. Worked from the bottom up, this modified drop-shoulder pullover begins with a 3 × 3 ribbing, providing the perfect path to a variety of cables on a stockinette background. Short rows, at the shoulder and top of sleeves, provide shaping while reducing bulk at the underarm, resulting in cleaner lines and a comfortable fit.</image:caption>

The beach is a key part of the African American Heritage Trail, which explores the rich history of the African American community on Martha’s Vineyard. This breezy, drop-sleeve pullover is the perfect spring-summer transitional piece — light and airy with an all-over diamond motif, and worn slightly cropped with plenty of positive ease. This stitch comes from a book I’ve owned since I was a teenager -- Reader’s Digest Complete Guide to Needlework (originally published in 1979 and given to me by my mother). It can be knit short or long, lightweight or heavy, so give it your own special touch! <image:caption>The pussy willow is widely celebrated for its soft, silky, fuzzy silver-gray catkins that emerge in late winter or early spring before the leaves appear. The Pussy Willow shawl is the baby sister to the Willow Moon cowl and the Whispering Willow Shawl. This shallow triangular shawl uses one-color brioche branches and I-cord bobbles to emulate the look of the pussy willow. It is knit from one end to the other, casting on just a few stitches and increasing from the wrong side until it reaches its maximum width, then decreasing until finished.</image:caption>

The result is a lightweight, super squishy and stretchy beanie that can fit a wide range of head sizes. Knit from the bottom up (ribbing to crown), using a tubular cast-on, band of 1 x 1 ribbing and half brioche stitch, making this hat fully reversible. The pattern is written for adult sizes Small (20 inches), Medium (22 inches) and Large (24 inches). The adult-Small can also fit a Child. The sample is shown in adult/medium on 22 inch head (me) and 21 inch head (daughter). Stitches used include -- knit, purl, brioche purl (brp), slip 1 yarn over (sl1yo) and brioche 4 stitch decrease (br4stdec). It is suitable for adventurous beginner / intermediate level knitters. The most challenging part is the crown shaping :-)</image:caption>

<image:caption>The Stepping Stone Scarf will allow you to combine basic knitting stitches (2x2 ribbing, garter and stockinette stitch) to produce a classic, unisex scarf. It utilizes only knits and purls, knit with large needles and a bulky (or super bulky) weight yarn; which means it is also a quick knit, suitable for the beginner knitter who is ready to take the next step on their knitting journey! The length of the scarf is easily modified by adding or removing garter and stockinette sections.</image:caption>

Stagg combines plump cables, a touch of texture, and changing needle sizes to produce a well fitting cowl that snugs in all of the right places. Stagg begins with a tubular cast-on and is knit bottom-to-top, with a small amount of short rows to shape the bottom center. A larger needle is used at the bottom and smaller needle at the top, to give the cowl a slightly A-lined fit, so that it lays closer to the neck as you approach the face. Pattern instructions are written and charted. Techniques used: tubular cast-on, cabling (with and without a cable needle), wrap & turn short rows, tubular bind-off.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Is there anything better than a stretchy sock that knits up incredibly quickly? We don’t think so! Introducing the Brioche for Brunch Socks featuring a Waffle Stitch created with half-brioche rib that is shockingly straightforward. (Really! One of our testers who had never knit a sock or done brioche before said “This feels too easy!!! Am I doing it right?” ). Featuring vivid colors from Less Traveled Yarn in Melon Mimosa and No Big Teal, you’ll want to knit these socks again and again. Size and Fit: These socks are incredibly stretchy with just the right amount of slouchy, and most knitters won’t require modifications. For many people, more than 1 size may fit their foot. First time sock knitters should follow the pattern as written without modification. Sizes: Small, Medium, Large, X-Large</image:caption>

<image:caption>Bògòlanfini (mudcloth) is fabric dyed with fermented mud. Bògòlanfini is a traditional textile of the Bamana people of Mali in West Africa. The name means “earthcloth” (Bogo=earth, lan=by means of, fini=cloth); and there is meaning in the symbols represented on mudcloth. They reveal a person’s character or occupation, or the history of a village. Mudcloth is worn by hunters, serving as camouflage, as ritual protection and as a badge of status. The Bògòlanfini headband / ear warmer is knit in the round, using colorwork. You will begin with a provisional cast on and finish the main side with a combination i-cord bind-off cast-on to continue with an alternating single row striped lining. The result is a headband that is fully reversible. You also have the option of using the included blank chart to chart your own design. Let your creativity soar! #bogolanfiniheadband</image:caption>
